Issues in Instructional Design and Technology Integration
Course description: "Course is designed to examine how technology can facilitate instructional practices. Students will explore instructional software, online resources, and synchronous and asynchronous methods in technology mediation. Learners will study variables that affect adult learning, techniques for stimulating and sustaining student motivation, and how to reinforce learning to a global audience." IDT5120 at Trevecca Nazarene University
Instructor: Dr. LaMetrius Daniels
Reflection: Throughout this course, I examined how technology can facilitate instructional practices. First, I described the history of online learning models by identifying instructional design models and their evolution. Next, I explored instructional software, online resources, and
synchronous and asynchronous methods in technology mediation. As a learner, I studied variables that affect adult learning, techniques for stimulating and sustaining student motivation, and how to reinforce learning to a global audience. Trends affecting the field of instructional design and technology were analyzed and discussed at great length. Lastly, this course investigated basic ethical and legal issues faced by K-12, higher education, military, and corporate companies in online modules by designing a training program case study.
