- Adopt a systems thinking mindset to project management concepts and principles to real-world instructional design projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in scoping an instructional design project that assesses the organizational or learners’ needs, aligns with goals, and delivers on-time and on-budget.
- Implement strategies for planning for and preventing scope creep, as well as managing when scope creep happens.
- Develop a project plan that includes development milestones, criteria for tracking and reporting progress to project stakeholders, assumptions and risks, and a communication plan.
- Use emotional intelligence techniques to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Establish a communication style and strategy that motivates diverse project teams and keeps everyone on track with a focused goal and clear direction.
